Sun Microsystems buys MySQL AB — the developer of the database behind most websites and startups. What a great move for Sun. (Who still has tech’s greatest logo.) Wow, “Sun” and “great move” in the same sentence. I haven’t said that, even with their other open-source announcements, in quite a while.
Congrats to the MySQL team.
So Jeremy, do you get to share in the $1B love? That wouldn’t be a bad wedding gift J-Z.

I wish I had me some early MySQL stock!
I should have taken that job with them ~5 years back and been employee number 20-something, huh?
